What it does
After a scan captures what is printed in front of you, enrichment looks for the details that were not there. You get back:
Verified business email
Phone numbers (cell and office, where available)
Job title and company details
LinkedIn profile
Profile photo
Why a waterfall?
No single source of business data covers everyone. A tool built on one database returns nothing whenever that database happens to miss the person in front of you.
Wave Connect checks multiple independent data sources in sequence. The first verified match wins and the search stops there. If one source has no record, the next one runs. Far more scans come back as complete contacts, and your team spends less time filling gaps by hand.
When enrichment runs
Event badge scans: automatically, on every scan. A badge usually shows only a name and a company, so the full search runs.
QR scans: automatically. Most digital business card and LinkedIn codes already carry contact details, so the search is shorter.
Paper business cards: on request. Open the contact and tap Enrich, or switch on Auto-enrich new contacts under Settings, Billing.
Lead form contacts: on request, the same way, for people who shared their details through your digital business card.
What it costs
Enrichment is paid for in credits, and the cost follows how much Wave Connect already knows about the contact. A contact who already has an email, phone number, or LinkedIn profile needs a shorter search than a name and a company alone. The app shows the cost before you confirm. What if nothing is found?
If enrichment cannot return verified contact details, you are not charged: no credits are used for a failed enrichment. Duplicate scans do not use credits either.
Where the data comes from
Enrichment uses licensed business data sources and publicly available professional information. It returns business contact details, the same kind of information printed on a business card, and your leads are only visible to your own team.
