Connecting Wave to Google Workspace
In this article, we will provide a step-by-step walkthrough on setting up our direct integration with Google Workspace. This integration allows you to instantly sync the users from your Google Workspace to Wave. Please note that the user sync is one-way from Google Workspace to Wave and not vice versa.
This integration will automatically connect the following fields, with no additional configuration needed:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Job Title
Phone Number
Location
Authenticating into Your Google Workspace Account
Login to your Wave user account.
Switch to the organization dashboard.
Go to Settings, then click on Integrations.
Click on the 'Connect' button.
A pop-up will open, allowing you to turn on user auto sync between your Wave and Google Workspace accounts. We recommend leaving this on. Press 'Continue.' A new tab will open asking you to authenticate your Google Workspace account.
Provide your Google Workspace credentials in the fields provided. Press 'Log In.'
Note: The account you authenticate must be a Google Workspace administrative account to ensure your integration works properly.
After reviewing the permission prompt, grant Google Workspace access to your Wave account data. You will now be re-directed to your Wave account.
Congratulations 🎉, you have successfully integrated Google Worspace in your Wave account.
Syncing Users from your Google Workspace to Wave
There are 2 ways of synching users , auto and manual syncing.
Users will be synchronized with your google workspace immediately every time users are created/updated/deleted in your Google workspace if auto sync is enabled when you connect to your Google Workspace from Wave. Please refer to Item 5 of Authenticating into Your Google Workspace Account how to enable auto sync
If you prefer to sync manually,
Switch to the organization dashboard.
Go to Users and Click Sync Google Workspace
Now you can see the users from Google Workspace have been synchronized with Wave.
