Understanding "Unique" Fields on Templates in Wave

A Unique Field is a field that is specific to an individual and cannot be shared with others. This means that each person has their own unique value for that field, making it easy to distinguish contacts from one another.

For example:

  • Phone Number & Email Address: Each person has their own phone number and email, making them unique fields.

  • Personal Social Media Links: While a company might have a shared LinkedIn or Instagram, some employees might want to include their own personal Instagram or professional LinkedIn. These personal profiles would be unique fields.

  • Personal Website or Portfolio: A company might have an official website, but employees may also have personal portfolios or project pages. These personal links would be unique fields.

Why Unique Fields Matter

Unique fields help keep contact records organized and prevent confusion. By ensuring that each person has their own distinct information, businesses can avoid duplicate entries and make it easier to reach the right contact.

In Wave, you can use unique fields to personalize digital business cards, ensuring that every team member has their own individual details while still representing their company.
